THANK YOU, VETERANS
We thank all veterans for their service to our country. To show our appreciation, we donated new items to veterans at the VA Hospital in Salisbury. With help from the Men’s Group of Holy Cross, our congregation donated 9 electric razors, 16 pairs of socks, 6 bottles of body wash, and 24 boxes of facial tissues.
Bookbag Give-A-Way
Our 3rd annual Bookbag Give-A-Way will be held in August. Please check back to our website in July for the specific date and time. Bookbags are given directly to students in the vehicle when it drives through our parking lot.
Annual Food Drive
Our 4th annual Youth Sponsored Food Drive is scheduled for the month of May. Thanks to a Thrivent card and other donations, the youth will shop for food items to be given to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry and Storehouse for Jesus.
Paper products were donated to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry. Our donation included 180 rolls of toilet tissue, 60 rolls of paper towels, 210 diapers, and other personal hygiene items.
Holy Cross delivered 29 blankets, 28 hats, 6 pairs of gloves, and 8 pairs of socks to the Davie County EMS Special Services Unit. These warm items are being distributed to the homeless in Davie County. Great job on making and collecting these much needed items.
“Buzy Hands” meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month to work on various projects. Following each meeting, these folks share a meal and fellowship.
Thanks to a Thrivent Action Team card, we are able to prepare and deliver meals to the residents of a Group Home in Mocksville. We share not only food but wonderful fellowship to these sweet people.
