Confirmation at Holy Cross Lutheran Church

At Holy Cross, you will find that faith formation is dynamic and hands-on learning. Pastor Stacey leads an experiential-based Confirmation class that strives to engage young people and help them dive deeper into their own faith journey. It is a privilege to walk with young people as they are coming to understand God and God’s Kingdom. We are here to guide the steps and walk alongside.

This year, our Confirmation class has chosen to fill blessing boxes around the wider community as they feel especially compassionate toward the food-insecure in Davie County. They have invited our church to help them fill at least three blessing boxes every other month. The church is excited to support our youth in this way. Lutherans believe that one of the ways we serve God is by serving others. The Confirmation class has learned this already!

Additionally, it is hoped that in the not-too-distant future, Holy Cross will have its own blessing box as an extension of the Confirmation class. Plans are being discussed and prayed over. The class is hoping our church can be a place for anyone who are hungry to “come and be fed”, not only with food, but also with the love of God.
